This special track focuses on the challenges and innovations in aligning internal representations across different AI models and biological systems. Representational alignment refers to the process of harmonizing the internal data representations of AI systems with those of human cognition, ensuring consistency and interpretability across diverse modalities and architectures. By improving representational alignment, we can significantly enhance the transparency, interpretability, and performance of AI models. This alignment allows for a clearer understanding of how AI systems process information, making their decision-making processes more explainable. Conversely, explainability methods can be leveraged to refine and improve representational alignment, creating a synergistic relationship between these two areas. We invite researchers from machine learning, neuroscience, and cognitive science to explore these intersections and contribute to the advancement of explainable AI through representational
